WESLEY (WEIF) DAVID MARTIN PASSES

Wesley (Weif) David Martin, 76, died on Wednesday, April 21, 1948.  He was a 
former citizen of Patrick County.

He was buried at Elamsville on Saturday, April 24 at 1:00 PM at the Wright 
Cemetery, Eld. Hollinsworth officiating.

He is survived by three brothers Charlie of Route 4, Peter of Rt 2 and Elec 
Martin of Bassett.

Additional Comments:
He was actually the second postmaster ever at Fayerdale.  He also ran a general 
store at the corner of where Fayerdale Road and the current Heidelbach School 
Road intersect. He actually died at District Homes in Chatham, VA.  The newspaper 
article indicated that he was buried at the Wright Cemetery.   Actually he was 
buried at the Via Cemetery which is up the trail from the Wright Cemetery.
