THE HENRY BULLETIN, Martinsville, Va., Tue., June 21, 1927, p. 3, cols. 7 & 8 
[edited].  Miss Susan Emberson died at her home in Dodson (Patrick Co.), Friday, 
June 10.  Funeral services were held Saturday and she was laid to rest in the 
family burial grounds near the old home.  Active pall bearers were J. J. Wright,  
J. Lester Roberson,  J. N. Via,  L. S. Chaney,  R. E. Wright and C. P. Bryant.  
Honorary pall bearers were W. A. Via,  J. R. Nichols,  Peter Rakes,  Peter 
Chaney,  Edgar McAlexander,  Edgar Moran,  W. A. Martin,  Coy Martin and G. 
Hopkins.  Survivors are the following brothers and sisters:  Dave Emberson of 
Martinsville,  P. W. Emberson of Bassett,  James Emberson of Roanoke,  H. H. and 
J. R. (?) Emberson of Dodson,  Mrs. James Bryant of Endicott,  Mrs. J. R. (?) 
Setliff and Misses Nannie, Martha and Sarah Emberson of Dodson. 

Additional Comments:
The decedent was buried in the family cemetery which is the Wade Emberson Cemetery 
which is located between the American Electric Power line and the Smith River deep 
in the forest near Dodson, VA.
