Special To The Bulletin - Bassett, Sept. 26. Harry Hancock, partner in Hancock Brothers Garage of Bassett, died late Tuesday evening at his home here after shooting himself in the head with a pistol. The deceased, who had been in bad health for several years, was declared incurable by attending physicians, and it is thought that despondency over his condition was responsible for the suicide. Mr. Hancock was forty years of age, and was a native of Patrick county, but for the last few years he had made his home in Bassett, where he was associated with his brothers in the garage business. He is survived by his widow and a son, Harry, Jr. and seven brothers, all of Henry and Patrick counties. Burial took place Thursday afternoon at the family burying ground near Dodson.
