Hairston Moran, aged 20, of the Union church community in northern Patrick county, died early Tuesday morning in Shackelford hospital of a bullet wound in the abdomen, which he told Police Sergeant Jim Minter, was inflicted by James Hall near Fairy stone Park Sunday Afternoon The shooting followed an argument in which Oscar Hall hit Moran in the head and that James Hall then took a gun from Moran and shot him. Moran’s body was removed to Townes funeral home to be prepared for burial, which takes place at Union Church near where he lived, Wednesday afternoon. The victim is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bettie Moran, his wife and an infant child.
