THE HENRY BULLETIN, Martinsville, Va.,  Fri., Jan. 1, 1929, p. 7, col. 3 [edited]. 

Mrs. Sarah J. Turner passed away Sunday morning, December 16, at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. G. J. Turner, Bassett, following an attack of flu and pneumonia.  
She was 71 years of age.  Her husband preceded her to the grave six years ago.  
The body was carried to the home of her son, J. P. Turner of Dodson, where funeral 
and burial services were held Monday afternoon.  She is survived by two sons and 
four daughters:  C. R. Turner of Long Branch, W. Va. and J. P. Turner of Dodson;  
Mrs. G. J. Turner and Mrs J.(?) W. Setliff of Bassett,  Mrs. L. J. Setliff of 
Ferrum and Mrs. Missouri Adkins of Henry.  Two brothers also survived, they being 
Johnnie Bryant of Fieldale and Charlie Bryant of Dodson.

Additional Comments:
She is buried at the Ira Turner Cemetery.
