THE HENRY BULLETIN, Martinsville, Va., Tue., Aug. 25, 1925, p. 6, cols. 1 & 2 
[edited]. Dodson, Va., Aug. 18th - The people of this community were greatly 
shocked over the death of Mr. Charlie Turner, son of Mrs. Ruth and the late Jeff 
Turner, which occurred on Aug. 12th, after a short illness of the dread disease, 
appendicitis. He was 24 years of age and is survived by his widowed mother, Ms. 
Ruth Turner, one brother, Mr. John Abe Turner and four sisters as follows: Mrs. J. 
M. Stone, Mrs. Pearle Shelton and Misses Alyce and Doris Turner. He was buried 
Friday afternoon at the family burying ground beside his father who preceded him 
to the grave by only a few years.

Additional Comments:
He is buried in the Jeff Turner Cemetery which on the side of Heidelbach School 
Road in a very remote area of Patrick County.
