Gilbert/Sharp Bond, 1823 Know all men by these presents that we Saml Gilbert and Samuel Sharp are held & firmly bound unto his excellency James Pleasants Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia and to his successors in office, for the use of the said Commonwealth, in the just and full sum of $150 to which payment well and truly to be made , we bind ourselves and each of us our heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these payments.
