Tudor/Dillion Marriage Bond, 1843 - Patrick Co. VA Marriage Bond of John Tudor and Nancy A. Dillion March 8, 1843 Know all men by these presents that John Tudor and Jessie Dillion are held firmly bound unto James McDowell esq. Governor or chief magistrate of the Commonwealth of Virginia and his successor in office for the time being on the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars current money of Virginia. To the payment whereof will and surely to be made to the said Governor and his successors we bond ourselves and each of us and ourselves jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated the 8th day of March 1843. The condition of the above obligation is such that where as a marriage is intended to be solemnized between the above bound John Tudor and Nancy Dillion of Patrick County who if there be no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage then this obligation to be now ever to remain in full force and effect.
