The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ******************************************************************************** The following is transcribed from a copy of the bond of Milly Fulkerson following the death of her husband, Frederick Fulkerson, Patrick Co, VA, Will Book 1, pp 12ff, dated 7/30/1795: [Fu]lkerson etc } Admx } Bond [?] Justices Know all men by these Presents that we Milly Fulkerson, James Fulkerson, Anchilaus Hughes, & Samuel Clark are held and firmly bound unto William Banks Brett Stovall, Francis Turner and Charles Foster Justices of the County of Patrick now sitting in the sum of fifteen Hundred Pounds to which payment will and truly to be made to the sd Justices we bind ourselves and heirs. Jointly and Severally firmly by these Presents sealed with our seals and dated this 30th day of July 1795 The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Milly Fulkerson widow and relect of Frederick Fulkerson deceased and James Fulkerson Admr & Admx. of all the goods and Chattle of Frederick Fulkerson Decd so make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all and Singular the goods Chattels and Credits of the sd Decd. which shall come to the hands possession or Knowledge of the sd Milly & James, or into the hands of any other Person or Persons for him and the same so made do Exhibit or cause to be exhibited unto the County Court of Patrick at such time as he shall be thereunto required by the sd Court. and the same goods Chattels and Credits of the sd. Decd. at his death which at anytime after shall come to the hands or possession of the sd Milly & James or unto the hands of any person or for him. Do well Truly administer according to Law, and further do make a Just and true acct. of his acctings[?] and doings therein when there unto required by! the sd. Court and all the rest of the goods Chattels and Credits which shall be found remaining upon the sd. Administration Examined and allowed by the sd. Justices shall deliver and pay unto such Person or Persons respectively as the sd. Justices by their order or Judgment shall direct Pursuant to the law in that case made And-- p 13 And Provided, and if it shall shall hereafter appear that any last Will & Testament was made by the Decd and the Executor or Executors therein named so exhibit same unto the said Court making request to have it allowed and approved according the said James and Milly being there unto required to render and diliver up letters of Administratin or approbation of such Testament being had and made in the said Court then this obligation to be void or else to remain in full force and virtue.
