Shelton laboring under bodily affliction and being of sound mind, make this my last will and testament and bequeath my property as follows, viz I will make my homeplace upon which [I] now reside, to my wife and my son, Robert H. Shelton to have and hold in possession as long as they both shall live. If my wife should die first or vice versa, Robt. should die first leaving no heirsthen the living parties to have and hold possession, but if Robt. should die firstand leave heirs, then my wife to have the property as long as she lives and ather death the property to revert to Robts. heirs if any, if none then the property to be equally divided [by] my other two sons Peter and A. C. Shelton. I also wish my wife and son Robt to have all my household and kitchen. I give the Mill to my three sons, Peter, A.C. and Robt. and when it wants repairing, I give the sorrel mare to Peter and A.C. Shelton and the balance ofmy personal property I bequeath to Robt. and his mother so long as they both shall live and at their death to revert to Peter and A.C. Shelton. I give all of my other children Mary King, Susan Shelton, Araminta Shelton and Ruth Fulcher, ten dollars each. witnesses Thomas N. Shelton John T. Bishop R. H. Goode?
