Deed of Trust - Sadie Augusta Stallings & Daniel Cephas Stallings to
John D.Watkins,Trustee.(Petersburg,VA. Deed Book 85,pages 409 & 410)

This Deed, made and entered into this the 5th day of july, 1915, by
and between Sadie A.Stallings, and D.C. Stallings, her husband, 
parties of the first part, and John D.Watkins, Trustee, as hereinafter
mentioned, party of the second part.
Witnesseth, that for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars,
cash in hand, paid before the ensealing and delivery of this deed, the
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, they, the said parties of
the first part, do hereby grant with General Warranty unto the said 
John D.Watkins, Trustee, the following real estate, to-wit:
All that certain lot or parcel of land,with the improvements thereon
and appurtenances thereto belonging, lying, being and situate on the
East side of Chappell Street, in the City of Petersburg,Va.,fronting
on said street thirty-seven and one-half (37-1/2) feet, and running
back Eastwardly,between parallel lines,one hundred and fifteen (115)
feet; being lot No.49 on a plat of the lots of W.W. Robinson, of 
record in the Clerk's Office of the Hustings Court of the City of
Petersburg,Va., in Deed Book 70, page 645, and the same property in
all respects which was conveyed to the said Sadie A.Stallings, then 
Sadie A.Howerton, by Augustus Wright's Executrix and Executors by 
deed bearing date on the 6th day of may, 1909, of record in the 
clerks office aforesaid, in Deed Book 78, page 252, reference to
which said deed is hereby made.
In Trust, after paying the expenses of the trust, including the usual
commission of 5% to the Trustee, in case of a sale by him of the real
estate herein conveyed, to secure to be paid a certain negotiable 
note for the sum of Sixteen Hundred ($1600) Dollars, bearing even
date herewith, made and endorsed by the said Sadie A.Stallings, and
payable one year after its date, at the Petersburg Savings & 
Insurance Company of Petersburg, Virginia; and to secure any renewal
of the said note, in whole or in part, which may be permitted to be
given from time to time.
Should default be made in the payment of the note herein secured, or
in the payment of any renewal or renewals thereof, in whole or in
part, the Trustee, upon being requested so to do by the legal holder
of said note, shall sell the real estate herein conveyed, at such
time and place, in such manner and upon such terms, either privately
or publicly, as to him may seem best for the interest of all  
concerned, and, after paying the costs and expenses incident to the
execution of the trust, and any amount due upon the note herein 
secured, or upon any renewal thereof, the residue of the purchase
price he shall pay over to the said Sadie A.Stallings, her personal
representatives, heirs or assigns.

State of Virginia, City of Petersburg, to-wit:-
I, Ida B.Jones, a notary public in and for the city aforesaid, in the
State of Virginia, do hereby certify that Sadie A.Stallings and D.C.
Stallings, her husband, whose names are signed to the foregoing
writing, hereto annexed,bearing date on the 5th day of July, 1915,
have severally acknowledged the same before me in my city aforesaid.
My Commission expires July, 17th, 1917. Given under my hand this 
6th day of July, 1915.

Petersburg, the 6th day of July, A.D. 1915,
This Deed of Trust from Sadie Stallings and husband to John D.Watkins,
was this day lodged in the said office and, with certificate annexed,
admitted to record, at 12 o'clock.M.
