1858 Petersburg Daily Express, Wed. Nov. 3. 1/5. 

Died at the residence of his brother, John Darracott in Henrico County on Sunday last. 
He was in the 40th year of his life.

The Late Benjamin F. Darracott.  The death of this gentleman was very briefly noticed in 
the yesterday's Express.  Deceased was known to Railroad men & travellers generally throughout 
the South.  He resided for a year or more in this city & was a warm-hearted and genial 
friend.  A man of "infinite jest" he ever brought sunshine with his presence and few men 
have ever died who were more beloved or who left behind them fewer enemies.

Died:
On Sunday 31st October, at 11 o'clock p.m. Benjamin F. Darracott, in the 40th year of his age.
