This property was the original Anderson homestead. Graves are marked: "Joseph Anderson - Born March 20, 1808 and brutally murdered on the night of 4th of July 1870 by Kit Hubbard and John Jackson free slaves. Universally esteemed in his community and will be greatly missed while his family holds him in --- remembrance." Minerva Caroline Terry (wife of Joseph Anderson) February 18,1812 - July 11,1894 Nancy (daughter of Joseph and Minerva) October 7, 1835 - May 19,1879 Daniel (son of Joseph and Minerva) April 7,1840 -June 4,1845 "Elder James Anderson Born April 28,1837 died February 17,1879 A faithful and thoroughly furnished Christian minister whose unfailing gentleness disarmed the criticism which his bold championship of the truth defied; whose beautiful, serene, and joyous Christian life was ever more eloquent than his own weighty, glowing, and tender words. this stone was erected by his churches." "Mary Brown Vaden wife of James Anderson Born Jan.31, 1835 died Aug. 20,1913 A faithful Christian wife and mother." Mary Wentworth Anderson (daughter of James and Mary) March 25,1870-January 16,1923 James William Anderson (son of James and Mary) August 15,1874-November 22,1877 "an unnamed son September 7, 1873-September 7, 1873" son of James and Mary "an unnamed daughter September 25,1867-October 11,1867" daughter of James and Mary There is also one large obelisk with the name Busick on it.
