A. Pritchett, on Route #703, south side. Pittsylvania Co., Virginia DATE: 1850. OWNERS: [blank] DESCRIPTION: The two graves are enclosed with an iron fence, and it is not in very good condition. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: To the Memory of Mary M. Wife of Dr. Oliver E. Hambleton Born Mar. 18th 1806 Died May 9, 1859 Asleep in Jesus Sacred to the memory of Oliver E. Hambleton Born 13th Sept. 1800 Died May 4, 1850 He who lies here by his death has erected this monument to his memory in garlands of sorrow but has left behind him a name and an example as pure and bright as the stars in Heaven to reflect light. Honor and wisdom upon his children and his childrens children.
