Meadows Cemetery Location: .6 mile west from Chatham, Virginia, on Route #57, thence south to the left .9 mile on Route #821; thence southeast, to the left, 2.8 miles on Route #823; thence southwest, to the right, 2 miles on Route #703. The graveyard is on the southeast side of the road. Pittsylvania Co., Virginia DATE: 1766. OWNERS: John Pigg and his descendants. (1937) DESCRIPTION: The graveyard is in an open field, with no fence around it. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following inscriptions are noted: Capt. John Pigg son of Paul married Ann Clement in Amelia Capt. of Militia 1768 Va., Artillery in Rev. War.
