The graveyard is on the north side of the road. Pittsylvania Co., Virginia DATE: 1832. OWNERS: Has always been and is still in the possession of the Simpson family. (1937) DESCRIPTION: This graveyard is filled with large cedar trees, no fence. The graves are covered with briars, bushes, honeysuckle and other kinds of undergrowth. There are a good many graves in this old graveyard which are not marked. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Sacred to the memory of Presley B. Simpson Who was born 21 June 1824 and departed this life 19th January 1842 aged 22 yrs. 1 mo. 22 days Sacred to the memory of James W. Simpson Born 2nd July 1822 Died 4th Nov. 1848 Who was the eldest and last son living of Presley Simpson Frances J. wife of Presley Simpson born Jan. 3, 1791 Died Feb. 9, 1865 In memory of John B. Simpson Born 27 Dec. 1827 Died 4th July 1832 Danile T.
