Cemetery Location:  2 miles northeast of Gretna, Virginia on Route #670, thence 
                    south 1 mile on Route #665, thence east .25 mile on Route 
                    #672.  The graveyard is on the north side of the road.
                    Pittsylvania Co., Virginia


DATE:

1832.

OWNERS:

Has always been and is still in the possession of the Simpson family. (1937)

DESCRIPTION:

This graveyard is filled with large cedar trees, no fence.  The graves are 
covered with briars, bushes, honeysuckle and other kinds of undergrowth.  There 
are a good many graves in this old graveyard which are not marked.

Who was born 21 June 1824
and departed this life 19th January 1842
aged 22 yrs. 1 mo. 22 days

James W. Simpson

Who was the eldest and last son living of Presley Simpson

born Jan. 3, 1791
Died Feb. 9, 1865
