				(I had died 2 Apr)

OAKES, Jesse		No Dates (He found a metal marker with
				dates of 1890 - 1950)

OAKES, Alfred		04 Sep 1829 - 16 May 1919
OAKES, Unknown		No Marker; Wife of Alfred. The place is
				known of her burial, but no
				marker.

In the fenced in section which is the James Allen Oakes 
Cemetery the following is also furnished by Ray.

OAKES, James Allen	No Dates. He was buried in a mass grave
				in Richmond. The stone placed 
				in this cemetery as a memorial 
				for him.

OAKES, James W.		23 Oct 1846 - 25 Jan 1928 I had his name
				as James H.

I had four listed as a rock for only marker. Ray has furnished
names and dates for people it is believed to buried at these
markers:

OAKES, Ruth A.		10 May 1850 -    Dec 1865 Age 14 Yrs
OAKES, Sarah E.		29 Stp 1850 - No Date
OAKES, Virginia W.	22 Jan 1852 - 13 Jul 1853
OAKES, William D. 	18 Oct 1844 - 29 Jun 1853

It is believed there are approximately 114 burials in this
cemetery.
