Vol H 1792-94 page 306 Dr 43 Box 32 (Original document) State of Georgia: Know all men by these presents that we Glen Owen, Thomas Owen Jun and Harrison Musgrove all of the county of Wilkes and State of Georgia do constitute and appoint George Owen of the county of Wilkes and State aforesaid to be our true and Lawfull attorney in all Stttlements or Law Suits Moved or Caused to be moved for or against each and every one of us in our names to so Appear plead and approve to final Judgment and Execution with full Power of Sutstitution-In Witness whereof we have here unto annext our hands and seals this thirty first day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety two State of Georgia Wilkes Co. Ga. 1806-Jul. 22- The Defendants not having ordered their appearances and given Security according to the Act of Assembly and the Rules of the Court, and it appearing to the Satisfaction of the Court that they are not Inhabitants of this State, on the motion of the Plantiff by his Counsel, It is ordered that the said Defencants do appear here on the third Monday in October next and Answer the Plaintiff’s Bill and that a copy of the Order be forthwith inserted in some news paper published in the State for eight weeks succresively and posted up at the front door of the Court house of this County on some Court Day John Wilson-Plaintiff Against John Owen Glenn Owen George Owen James Rutledge and ___ his wife formerly Owen Jenny Musgrove formerly Jenny Owen Who are heirs of Thomas Owen Deceased ((Other says Heirs of John Owen deceased. But was AFTER death of Thomas Owen)) The order of publication made against the defendants in this cause having been duly published according to law and they not appearing and failing to answer the bell of the plaintiff on hearing the same and Exihibit filed it is decreed and ordered by the court that all the rights title and interest of the defendants to the tract of land in the bill on the south side of Sandy Ridge be henceforth vested in the Plantiff his heirs or assignees, and that the said Defendants Convey such rights to the Plaintiff his heirs or assignees, and that the defendants convey such rights to the Plaintiff unless they show Cause to the Contrary within Seven years next ensuing the date hereof, and that eht plaintiff recover againse the defendants his costs in their behalf expended. ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
