The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ************************************************************************ Deed Book 57, page 197 Pittsylvania Co, VA Agreement dated May 1, 1857 "Know all men by these presents that I, Robert W Williams, JR, a child and heir at law of Francis Williams, deceased. late of Caswell County, N.C., and also Executor, Legatee, and Devisee of Joseph T Williams, Deceased, late o said county and state, and also a child and heir of the said Francis Williams, Deceased, do constitute and appoint James M Whittle of Pittsylvania Co, Va, my true and lawful Attorney for me and in my name to demand, sue for recover, collect and receive from the Estate of Doctor C Williams, Deceased, late of ,the County of Todd/Dodd, state of Kentucky, any money closes in actions, and property coming to me from said Estate as heir and distributee of my said deceased Father, Francis Williams, who was son and heir of said Doctor C Williams, and any that may be coming to me as the Executor, Legatee, and Devisee of said Joseph T Williams, Deceased, who was also a son of said Francis Williams, deceased, and survived him. Receipts, acquitances and discharges to grant for the same to Execute for me in my name all necessary bonds and other instruments that may be necessary to procure the money, chisis in action and property aforesaid, to employ counsel, to prosecute the same and any attorney binder my said attorney that it may be necessary to appoint to carry out the purposes and objects aforesaid, hereby ratifying what my said agents may do in the promises.
