Murphy, 22 Mar 2001] 365 Eckhols from Murphey Deed This Indenture made the Sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord, One thousand seven hundred and Sixty nine Between William Murphey of Augusta County in Virginia of the one part and Jacob Eckhols of the County of Bedford and Colony of Virginia of the other part WitneSseth that the said William Murphey for and in consideration of the Sum of fifteen pounds of lawfull money to him in hand from by the said Jacob Eckhols the Receipt whereof the said William Murphey doth hereby acknowledge he the said William Murphey hath Granted Bargained and Sold aliened[?] and Confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien and Confirm unto the said Jacob Eckhols his Heirs and aSsigns forever all that meSsuage and Tenement and all that piece or parcel of Land lying and being in Pittsylvania County on both sides the north fork of Gobbintown Creek & Bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at a spanish oak thence off South forty five degrees East sixteen poles to a Hicory north five degrees East ninety six poles to a white oak North thirty one and ........... [sic] a quarter degrees east forty four poles to a chesnutt oak norht sixty degrees west one hundred and nine poles to a white oak south forty five degrees west two hundred and thirteen acres it being first conveyed from Isham Barnet the patent whereof is dated the tenth Day of September One thousand seven hundred and fifty five and also all Trees Woods underwoods tithes Commons Common of pasture profits commodities Advantages Hereditaments[?] Ways waters and appurtenances whatsoever to the said meSsuage and Lands above mentioned belonging or any wise appertaining and also the Reversion and reversions Remainder & remainders Rents and Services of the said premises and of every part 366 thereof and all Estate right title Interest clame and Demand whatsoever to him the said William Murphey of in and to the said MeSsuage and land above mentioned and premises and every part thereof To have and to hold the said meSsuage or Tenement & all & singular the premises above mentioned and every part and parcel thereof & the appurtenances unto the said Jacob Eckhols his Heirs & aSsigns so the only proper use and behalf of the said Jacob Eckhols hsi Heirs and aSsigns forever and the said William Murphey for him and his Heirs the said meSsuage or Tenement and Premises and every part thereof against him and his Heirs and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever to the said Jacob Eckhols his Heirs and aSsigns shall and will Warrant & forever Defend by these presents In WitneSs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this Day and date above Written.
