Know ye that for divers good, Causes & Considerations but more Especially for & in Consideration of the sum of Thirty five Shillings of good & Lawful Money for our use paid to our Receiver General of our Revenues in this our Colony & Dominion of Virginia. We have given granted and Confirmed By these Presents for us our Heirs & Successors Do Give, Grant & Confirm unto James Shockley one Certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing three hundred & fifty four Acres lying & being in the County of Pittsylvania on both sides little Turkey Cock Creek & bounded as followeth, to wit Beginning at a white Oak on the West side thence new?
