Pittsylvania County, Virginia Member of: John Cabell's Company, 88th VA Regiment, Pickett's Division I, J. D. Jefferson , Justice of the Peace County for the County of Pittsylvania do certify that Bettie Adkins whose name is signed to the foregoing application, personally appeared before me in my county, and, having the said application fully read and explained to her as well as the statements and answers therein made, she the said Bettie Adkins made oath before me that said statements and answers are true.Given under my hand this 24th of April, 1900.
