No 275. VIRGINIA:County of Pittsylvania, TO-WIT:    I,  JAMES L.TREDNAY, Judge 
of the Confederate Pension Board for the County of Pittsylvania, do certify that 
I have carefully enquired and examined into, and am fully satisfied from the 
evidence adduced before me that each and all of the facts set forth in the 
within application are true; that the applicant is the identical person name in 
the application; that the application is for the reasons approved, and it is 
therefore certified that James W. Allen   is entitled to receive annually from 
the State of Virginia the sum of fifteen dollars.  Given under my hand this
19th day of April 1897.

     I, S. S. Hurt , Clerk of the Circuit (Corporation) Court for the County of 
Pittsylvania  do do certify that the judge of the said court has directed me to 
certify to the Auditor of Public Accounts that James W. Allen, a pensioner under 
the Act of March 7, 1900 is entitled to receive annunally from the State of VA 
the sum of 30dollars yearly.   Given under my hand this 25th day of August, 
1907.
