Widow of: Ben Franklin Allen, married Oct. 1869, husband died: Nov. 27 1919 of 
heart trouble.
Member of: Infantry, Company P? 3rd  VA Regt., Col. J. Cury? Capt. Morrinarr

I, M. A Jennings, Notary Public in and for the County of Pittsylvania  do 
certify that Sarah F. Allen whose name is signed to the foregoing application, 
personally appeared before me in my county, and, having the said application 
fully read and explained to her, as well as the statements and answers therein 
made,  she the said made oath before me that said statements and answers are 
true.Given under my hand this of July 20, 1920

I, P. B. Rorer, Chairman of the Pension Board for the County of Pittsylvania, do 
certify that the judges of the said court has directed me to certify to the 
Auditor of Public Accounts that W. D. Adkins, a pensioner under the act of Feb., 
1918 is charged on the land and  personal property books of said  county with 
estate real personal or mixed of the assessed value of 400 dollars.  Given under 
my hand this 27th day of Sept.,  1920.
