APPLICATION OF A WIDOW OF A DECEASED SOLDIER, SAILOR OR MARINE FOR A PENSION. 

Name: FRANCES ARTHUR, 72 years old, resided with son, W. F. Arthur, married October 30, 1865 by Rev. James Anderson, Widow of ARTHUR, WHITEFIELD who died on April 22, 1915 of old age and grip.
PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA (GRETNA)
Member of:  Capt. B. Z. Price's Battery, "Star Artillery Regiment"

      I, S. S. Hurt, Clerk of the County Court for the County of Pittsylvania  
do certify that Frances Arthur whose name is signed to the foregoing 
application, personally appeared before me in my county, and, having the said 
application fully read and explained to her, as well as the statements and 
answers therein made, she the said Frances Arthur made oath before me that said 
statements and answers are true.  Given under my hand this 14th day of  May, 
1905.
