Name: Julia Adams Dalton Age 85 as of 1920 Resided with Mrs. Laura Dunklin Married to Nathan Adams in 1865 who died in 1870 and David Dalton in 1880 who died in 1880 of liver and stomach trouble. Pittsylvania County, Va (Sycamore) Member of: Company A, Reserve Battalion under Capt. Mustain. Letter from the war department showed that no records for Capt. Mustain's company H, 5th Battalion were in their office, but they records for Nathan Adams, Sgt., Company N, 38th Regt. of Va infantry enlisted at Danville on June 8, 1861 and served for one year, then discharged for disability. Julia Adams then sent letter and affidavits that showed where Capt. Mustain granted Nathan Adams a furlough for fifteen days. Files were not included to show the result, but Julia received a pension.
