Husband died in 1918 of old age and cancer of the stomach Pittsylvania County, Va (Mt. Airy) Member of: Capt. Clutters ? Co. Va Light Artillery, (formerly Capt. Motley's Co.), enlisted March 10, 1862. Union prisoners of war records show him surrendered and paroled at Appomattox Court House, April 9, 1865.
