VA Town: (Dry Fork) Member of: 53rd VA Regt., Company G Pension clerk denied approval on premise that Nannie had not lived in VA for the amount of time required. Nannie's answer is as follows: Mr. Jno H. Johnston Dear Sir, With reference to the enclosed letter I wish to say that the time stated in my application for pension was some over 2 1/2 years and this year makes the full time of five years which is required before allowing pension. Please advise me what to do now in order that application will be complete. Yours very truly, Mrs. Nannie W. Farthing No other information was included but Nannie received a pension.
