Name:: Alice Ferguson, age 66 as of  1923, resided with Mrs. C. C. Henderson; 
WIDOW of John A. Ferguson who died on Nov. 6, 1898; accidentally kill by train 
or crane? Married April 8, 1872; Husband was also wounded  at Battle of  
Staunton River.  Comrade who served with husband: Wm. Lewis.

VA Town:  (Danville

Member of: Home Guard of Halifax under Capt. Young, VA Artillery, Enlisted Nov. 
5, 1863; captured at Petersburg and released at Point Lookout, MD.  after taking 
Oath of Allegiance.
