VA Town: Java Member of: Capt. Ed. Young's Company and Col. Masley's Division, Comrades: Carter Glass and Wm. Moore, enlisted Nov. 5, 1865 at Drewry's Bluff in Company C, 1st VA Battallion. Transferred to Company C, 1st Battalion Light Artillery, thence to Capt. Young's Company. Prisoner of war, captured at Petersburg June 5, 1864 and release at Point Lookout, MD. after taking Oath of Allegiance.
