Letter to W. H. Franklin from Jno. H. Johnson who questioned whether Franklin 
filed a claim in Henry County and was he the same W. H. Franklin.

Dear Sir,    Mr W. H. Franklin of Elba Pittsylvania County was in to see today 
about his pension.  Mr. W. H. Franklin was a pensioner from Pittsylvania County 
Va under the Act of May, 1900.  Sometime about the first of May, 1913, he filed 
in this office an application using form 5 under the said act of April 1902 to 
have his claim renewed.  As amended which application by pension board of 
Pittsylvania Court and certified to the judge of this Circuit Court and at the 
May term 1913  Judge Harvey allowed said pension and ordered the clerk to 
certify same to the auditor of Public Accounts.  About the last of May 1913, I 
sent said application certificates and order of court along with other 
applications to the Auditor of Public Accounts, Richmond, VA.  I enclose another 
copy of the order.  I wish you would look same up for Mr. Evilla? and write to 
him about same to Gretna, Pittsylvania County VA.   The name of Elba P. O. has 
been changed to Gretna.  Thanking you in advance, I remain, Yours very truly, S.
