WIDOW OF A DECEASED SOLDIER, SAILOR OR MARINE FOR A PENSION. 

Name: Nellie Rives Green, age 75  as of 1928, married in 1872 by Geo. W. Dauce, 
widow of Berryman Green who died in June of 1905 of heart failure, resided with 
uncor? H. P. Green; comrade of husband: Harry Woodring

Pittsylvania County, Va --Danville

Member of: Company A, 18th Va Regt., then transferred to Co. C. 5th Va Regt. 
Cavalry,(enlisted in 1861 and wounded twice-one in shoulder), elected 2nd Lieut. 
In Nov.1862, promoted to 1st Lt. in June 1862, then Captain on May 11, 1864: 
captured at Dinwiddie courthouse Apr. 1, 1865, subscribed to oath of allegiangce 
at Johnson's Island, Ohio, June 16,1865 and released same day.  Age 28, 
complexion fair, hair dark, eyes blue, and height 5' 10"
