Name and Age: Thomas W. Payne, age between 80 and 85 as of as of, received 
$32.50. Farmer.  In the service he was promoted from Sgt. to 2nd Lieut on June 
6, 1862 with his resignation was accepted to take affect Jan 29, 1863.  On Sept. 
13, as a conscript from Pittsylvania he was detailed for light duty during 
disability and was ordered to report to H. T. Tucher , Capt. in Danville, VA.
