Pickerall, age 63 as of 1888, wounded in the head by a minie ball, paralyzed in right side during Pickett's fight in June 1864 at Petersburg; received $15 yearly, later upgraded to $30 yearly by W. Coles, judge of Pension Board after the letter below was satifsfied: Included on side of form: Pittyslvania County Court, Sept Term 1888, John Pickerall's Application for pension: On motion of applicant farther? evidence being introduced before the Court as to the nature and character of the wound and the applicants ability to perform manual labor.
