Russell, of the county of Pittsylvania, in the _____ of Virginia, do ______ swear that I am the identical person in the original application _______ on this 3d day of May, 1900 ____ [offical form wording follows].... Resident of the County of Pittsylvania She is 70 years old. Husband died ___ January 1889 resulting from pneumonia in typhoid form. Died at Scottsburg, Halifax County, VA. Signed: Ellen P. When and where, as nearly as nearly as can be ascertained, did the applicant's husband die and from what cause? Ans. Died 22 January, 1889 near Scottsburg with pneumonia & fever. 3d. When and where were the applicant and her deceased husband married? Ans. 25th Nov. 1856 near Laurelgrove 4th. Has the applicant ever married again? Ans. No. Ellen P.
