Enlisted July 1, 1864 VA town: Java Member of: 3rd Company C, 1st VA Artillery which later Became Company C. 1st VA Battalion VA Light Artillery, and finally became Capt. N. R. Young's Company, Virginia Artillery which was Company G, known as "Mount Vernon Guards."
