Name and Age: Mary J. Shaw. age 74 as of 1912, resided with A. C. Shaw, married 
on Jan. 5, 1859 at Pittsylvania by Jesse Woodson

Widow of: James Shaw who died on May 10, 1911 of dropsy of the heart

Comrades of veteran: J. J. Lovelace of Keeling and John  A. Fitzgerald of 
Ingram. Enlisted April 24,1861 and captured April 6, 1865.  Released at Newport 
News, VA on July I, 1865.

VA town: Ringgold

Member of:  Company I18th VA Regt. under Capt. James Luck and Col. Withers
