Name and Age: James J. Shelton, age 52 as of 1894, wounded in camp by accidental 
discharge of musket through the middle of foot which caused loss of 17 pieces of 
bone, also injured at the Battle of Yorktown and Gettysburg by shots through the 
breast and arm; received $15 yearly as approved by James Trednay, Judge of 
County Court of Pittsylvania.
