Name and Age: Mary D. Taylor, age 88 as of 1938, (original application was not 
included in microfilm.)

Widow of: John L. Taylor, drummer, enlisted  March 7, 1862 at Milton, NC, age 14 
yrs., born in Caswell NC, residence Caswell County, NC, occupations student, 
height 5' 4".  Surrrendered by Robert N. Lee and paroled at Appomattox Court 
House on April 9, 1865.
