Peter Perkins' Batallion Militia Pittsylvania County Pittsylvania County May Court 1785: It appearing to the Court that Blanks- Moody received a wound in his Country service which rendered him incapable of securing a livelihood. Therefore he is recommended to the assembly as an object (rest is black) **next document is black also, but could make out that he was wounded at Battle of Guilford, certified by James Wood after being examined by W. Foushes I do with the advice of Council herby certify that Blanks Moody of Pittsylvania about 30 years of age, late a private in the militia appears to have been disabled in such a manner while in the Service of the United States as to entitle him to the sum of eight pounds yearly; which allowance is accordingly made him to commence from the first day of January 1786.
