Will of Allison Adam, 1874 - Pittsylvania Co. VA 26 December 1874 Know all men by these presents, that I, Allison Adams of the county of Pittsylvania County, Virginia being in usual health but considering the uncertainty of life do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following, to wit: Item 1st. After the payment of all my just debts, I give and bequeath to my beloved Phebe all of my real and personal estate during her life to be disposed of by her as she may think proper for her benefit during the term of her natural life except what is mentioned in the next item at her death to be divided equally between my ten children and their heirs share and share alike. Item 2nd. I give and bequeath to my son Chesley T. Adams a lot of land at Sycamore station on the W.C.V.M. And G.S.R.R. containing 1/4 of an acre with buildings thereon. Item 3rd. I hereby revoke and annul all former wills by me made. Item 4th. I hereby constitute and appoint my son Stephen E. Adams as executor of this my last will and testament.
