VA July the 27" 1810 I Thomas Farmer of Pittsylvania County being in my proper sences thanks be to Almighty God for it I do hereby make this my last will and testament, revoking all other wills or wills by me made. First I lend my well beloved wife Jene Farmer all all that I possess during her life or widhood (widowhood). Item I give my son James Farmer 30 pounds. Item I give my son Laban Farmer the land he now lives on, Item I give my darter, Mary Orgust (?) 30 pounds, Item I give my son John Farmer, negro Gall named Nancy. Item I give my son Robert Farmer one negro Chana. Item I give my son Samuel Farmer negro named Sarah. Now it is my desire that all my estate after my wife- death may be devied as named equal William Farmer, John Farmer, Exactors Robert Farmer, Samuel Farmer, Laban Farmer Saley Bellaston (?), Anne Irby Robert Farmer Lucy Farmer, Mely Farmer John Farmer Susanna Farmer Charles Clement, Adam Clement Junr Thomas East At a Court held for Pittsylvania County the 20" of May 1811 The last will and testament of Thomas Farmer Deceased was presented in Court and proven by the three subscribing witnesses and ordered to be recorded - And at another Court held for the said county the 18" of Mar in the year afores. On the motion of John & Laban Farmer two of the executors named in the above will, who made oath thereto according to law certificate is granted them for obtaining probat thereof in due form, they giving security where upon they with Robert Farmer, Francis Abstan, Parmely Farmer, Susannah Farmer, Laban Farmer & James Bruce their securities ent. into & ack. their hand in this pmt of #3,000 ($30.00?) cash (?) acdg to law Robert Farmer one of the executors therein named refusing to qualify.
