                 Will. 

In the Name of God Amen, I Nathaniel Thacker of the County of Pittsylvania 
though Weak in body, yet through the mercy & Goodness of God; of a Sound and 
Perfect memory do Constitute this my last, Will & Testament, & desire it to be 
recorded as Such by all. 
First  I lend unto my Wife Casse, the Plantation & Tract of land adjoining the 
same  Containing One Hundred & fifty acres also four Negroes, Frank Jude, Sam 
and Moses & all my Stock of Horses Cattele [sic] hogs & sheep also all my 
household furniture and plantation Tools, during her life, and after her 
Decease, this plantation together with the One Hundred & fifty acres of land 
adjoining the same which, I lend, my Wife together with the Orchard, to be 
equally Divided between my two Daughters  Molly Adkins & Lovina Malicoat, and 
the Negroes  Frank Jude Sam & Moses & all the stock of Horses Cattle Sheep 
Hogs & Household furniture

plantation tools, &.c lent to my Wife, to be sold at twelve months Credit, by 
my  Executors hereafter named, taking bonds with approved Security, & after, 
Collected by my Executors to be equally Divided, amongst my Six Children, or 
their Lawful heirs Betsy, Peter, Joel, Isaac, Molly & Lovina, & all debts by 
bonds notes or open accompts due me to be Collected by my Execu.rs, as soon as 
Possible, after my Decease, & after all Lawfull Dem.ds against me are paid, 
the  balance to be Equally divided, amongst, my Six Children or their Heirs 
before mentioned & my Wife  immediately after Collected. 
Item, I appoint for my Executors my two Sons, Peter Thacker & Joel Thacker 
Item  I do  Constitute this & no other, my last Will & Testament, 
as Witness my hand & Seal.d this twelfth day of April 1805.

  At a Court, held for  Pittsylvania County the 21.st Day of July 1806. 
The annexed last Will and Testament of Nathaniel Thacker Deceased was 
Presented in Court and Proved by the oath of Robert Cash, and the affirmation 
of Elisha Burton, and Ordered to be Recorded, and on the motion of Peter 
Thacker and Joel Thacker the Executors therein named, who made oath according 
to Law, Certificate is Granted them for obtaining Probate of the said Will in 
due form, on Giving Security, where upon they together with James Hart, Elisha 
Burton and Joseph Hubbard their acknowledged their bond in the penalty of 
three thousand Dollars, Conditioned as the Law directs  _
