Will of Joseph M. Yeatts, 1883 - Pittsylvania Co. VA d. 16-May-1883 WB ,p.327-328 I Joseph M. Yeatts of Straitstone Pittsylvania County Va of sound mind and disposing memory do make this my last will and Testament revo-_ all others hereto made 1st It is my will and desire that my body be buried in a decent manner and that all my Just debts be paid with my buriel expenses (unreadable) 2nd It is my will and desire that my wife Eliza J. Yeatts have all of the lands on which we live with that purchased of Robert Hubbard estate with all the houses and property of every description during her widowhood, all of the house hold property she is to have to do as she thinks proper with at her death 3d It is my will that the Hall land and the goods in Store be sold and the money with all that can be collected of that which is due me be put at Interest and my wife to have the interest to live on if she need it, and if necessary for her support to have the principal 4th It is my will and desire that at the death of my wife or after her marriage (if she does marry) that Charles E. Hubbard have all the land on which I live with that bought of Robert Hubbard's estate with all the houses on it of every description It is my will and desire that my wife Eliza J. Yeatts and O.H. Hubbard act as Executors of will without Security being required of these, and they are not to let the timber be cut off or sold except for the benefit of the place. Given under my hand and Seal this the 16th day of May 1883 Witness Joseph M. Yeatts Seal O.H. Hubbard Thomas Worsham County Court held for the County of Pittsylvania on the 20th day of August 1883 This last will and Testament of Joseph M. Yeatts deceased was this day fully proved by the oaths of OH Hubbard and Thomas Worsham subscribing Witnesses thereto and was thereupon ordered to be recorded. And on the Motion of Eliza J. Yeatts the Executrix named in the will who made oath as the law directs, and entered unto a bond in the penalty of Sixteen Hundred dollars, conditioned according to law, but without Security, the will directing that none should be required of her, and which Said bond being acknowledged by the obligor therein, is ordered to be recorded, certificate is granted the Said Eliza J. Yeatts, for obtaining a probate of the said will in due form, O.H. Hubbard, the Executor named in the said will, in open Court, refused to take upon himself the burdon of the execution thereof.
