Mrs. Luvenia Harper, widow of the late William Harper, who died Friday, Oct. 29,
at the residence of her sister, 617 Nelson street, was buried Tuesday afternoon
in Lincoln Cemetery.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church, with the
pastor, the Rev. S. H. Lathan, officiating.  The Wheeler Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.

She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Whidbee, Mrs. Annie Barrett, both
of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Lizzie Wright of Baltimore;  also by two brothers, Jerry
Johnson of Plymouth, NC, and Osie Harper, of Brooklyn NY
