Weisiger Cemetery Location: 1.8 miles west of Powhatan Court House on Route #13; thence .1 mile north on Route #49 Powhatan Co., Virginia DATE: About 1846. 1852, date of oldest grave [marker] OWNERS: Emmanuel Church DESCRIPTION: This is a well kept country cemetery. Fenced in with a wire fence and divided into lots. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following inscriptions are on the tombstones: Capt. Joseph Hobson Capt. Co. E. 4, Va., Cavalry Aug. 1837 – April 19, 1918 Mark the perfect man and behold the upright for the end of that man is Peace. Va. Randolph Page wife of Thos. L. Hobson Aug. 19, 1813 Nov. 6, 1911 Peace Perfect Peace Sacred top the Memory of Thos. L. Hobson who died Oct. 28, 1852 Age 47 years Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Thos. M. son of T.L. Hobson and Va. Page Born Nov. 27, 1842 and killed in the battle of the Wilderness near Spotsylvania C.H. May 9, 1864 He was a member of the Powhatan Troop Co. E. 4th Va. Cavalry, Wickham’s Brigade. Fitz Lee’s Division A.N.V. Jas. A. Tilman 1844 – 1929 Mr. Jas. Tilman was Treasurer of Powhatan from 1877 – 1887 Clerk of Court from 1887 – 1920 E. A.
