HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Inscriptions: N. E. Venable Born 5 Dec. 1791 Died 24 Sept. 1846 I shall be satisfied, when I awake with Thy likeness. Mary S. Venable Wife of N.E. Venable Born in 1793 Died in 1865 Nathaniel E. Venable was a Captain in the War of 1812, a member of the Virginia House of Delegates and State Senate. Mary S. Venable, was before her marriage to Nathaniel E. Venable, Mary Embray Scott, daughter of Brigadier General Charles Scott of the Revolution.
