PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, VA - CEMETERIES – Glenn Cemetery ----¤¤¤---- Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection LVA Titled Files: Survey Report, The Glenn graveyard: 1937 June 3 Research made by Bessie Thompson Cemetery Location: 1.6 miles west of Prospect, Virginia, on Route #626; thence 1.2 miles north on private road; thence east on private road .4 mile. Cemetery on the south side of the road. Prince Edward Co., Virginia DATE: 1829, date of oldest grave [marker] OWNERS: Property now owned by Mr. Sidney Gilliaure. [1937] The Glenn heirs reserve rights to the cemetery. DESCRIPTION: The cemetery is located on the edge of a large body of pine trees. There is a fence on one side of the cemetery. There are only about a dozen graves and only a few with markers. The others have old field stones at the head and foot. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: To the memory of Mrs. M. H. Glenn Died May 17th, 1829 in the 35th year of her age In memory of an infant Child of J.H. and E.J. Glenn Died Feby. 17th, 1842 Small rock marker: M. G. Small rock marker: G. G.
