Cemetery Location:  .3 mile west of Hampden Sidney, Virginia, on country road.  
                    Cemetery on south side of the road.
                    Prince Edward Co., Virginia

OWNERS:

Cemetery.

DESCRIPTION:

The cemetery has a beautiful lawn and covers about one square acre.  It is 
enclosed by a wood panel fence, painted white, with one gate.  There are only a 
few graves with markers.  The old cemetery is full of large oak and cedar trees, 
lilacs and shrubs.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:


John Holt Price
First Professor of Christian Theology in the Union Theological Seminary
Was born in the county of Bedford on the 28th of November 1777
and died on the 3rd of September 1831
To his memory
This stone is raised.


To the memory of
Rev. Benj. H. Rice, D.D.
Pastor of College Church Prince Edward County
born March 27th, 1782
Died Feby. 24th, 1856
This humble tribute of affection and regard is erected by the members of his 
church.


Sarah E. Pugh
Born Mar. 5, 1831
Died May 25th, 1855
Her memory is blessed.


Robert Lewis Dabney
Born Feb. 19, 1849
Died Nov. 28th, 1855
