Cemetery .2 mile west on private road leading to cemetery. Prince Edward Co., Virginia DATE: 1811, date of oldest grave [marker] OWNERS: Unknown owner when cemetery was first started. J. J. Gilliam --- to 1937, present owner [1937] DESCRIPTION: This cemetery is located on the south side of the site of “Maylena”, in the middle of a large field of clover, and covers about one-fourth of an acre. There is no fence, only a few shrubs growing in the old cemetery. There are right many old graves, but only one with an inscription on the marker. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: A large flat marble slab about six feet long and two feet ten inches wide, resting flat on the ground, inscribed: SACRED to the Memory of Elizabeth Ennes Who died December 17th, 1811 in the 56 year of her age SOURCES OF INFORMATION: Informant: Mr. J.
